Meet Madeleine — Founder of East Coast Collabs
For Madeleine, fashion isn’t just a passion — it’s in her blood. Growing up in Melbourne, she spent countless hours in her parents’ clothing manufacturing warehouse, surrounded by cotton looms, fabric rolls, and the hum of creativity. Inspired by her parents’ hard work in the rag trade, young Maddy began cutting fabric for her dolls and sketching outfits she dreamed of wearing one day.

The Beat Behind the Brand
Music has shaped Madeleine’s life from the very beginning. Her first concert was Culture Club in 1984. Dressed as a mini Boy George, she embraced music and fearless fashion. That night sparked her love for creative self-expression. Later, Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit stirred something deeper. It connected her to raw, emotional music that challenged the norm.
In 1994, she found Melbourne’s underground rave scene — and everything changed. She lived for Acid House and late-night warehouse parties. Events like Hardware and Every Picture Tells a Story defined her weekends. She danced through blacked-out venues, where sound was everything. Her love of music soon took her around the world. Berlin, Mykonos, London, and Brighton became her clubbing playgrounds.
